    Welcome to the neighborhood, Max!

I collect a lot of French medals. This is a little off-topic, but here is one of my favorites from 1928. It depicts Marianne standing before the French Senate building.

My French medal collection is fairly large, about 300 specimens, and some of my favorite medalists are Roty, Chaplain, Bovy, Dupre and Exbrayat.

Ah! Un membre de la pays de France! I have a small hoard of French coins that I absolutely love. Nice to have someone from that beautiful country. Older French coinage is some of the most beautiful in the world in my opinion, some of it far superior to old US coins even. No worries about the "bad" English. I am pretty bad at French despite four semesters worth of it in school and college. Your English is WAY better than what I see around the interwebs by folks who speak it anyways. :)I don't have most of them photographed, but here is a photo in your honor! Actually from French Indochina (and contrary to the thread, not an error), but close enough!

    Hi,
For the medals, yes Chaplain and Roty of course !
Yes, the most beautifull french coin is the Lindauer !
Coins with hole (1913-1946) to save metal because of World Wars.

And there are nice errors for this coins !
But they are very very rare !!

One of my favorites is this double clipped 1972 Eisenhower which also happens to be a Type 2 Reverse.

that's a good looking struck thru grease coin , I have some of the 99 cent coins that looks like your's here lost in my collection. I have a cent coin where the die was so clogged up that part of the date and the word WE is about all that is visible on it , not sure about which year it is but mostlikely a 99 . these don't sell very good but fun to find while roll searching.
