2 more boxes of dime: skunk. Out of my last 10 dime boxes all I got was one really bent up rosie. I think I'm gonna lay off the dimes for awhile... maybe concentrate more on halves.

Got my first Ben half yesterday - a 1959 d. Along with 5 405s. That ended my 700 in skunk streak.

I really love this forum, thanks for making it happen.

Also, ran into my first proofs. I believe a 1977s in great shape, along with two 1988s. I put them in a little plastic sheath.

 

Yesterday:
$10 loose halves: nothing
$100 CWR halves: one 40%er
$240 BWR dimes: one silver Roosie and a 1991 S proof (for real this time, I think the Susan B was a false alarm)
$110 CWR dimes: skunk on silver, just a UK 5p and two Canadians

And I found a UK penny in a Coinstar

 

Ouch pballer, I think that would definately scare me away from Dimes for a while too. I got skunked yesterday on 1 box of Dimes. I have 4 more to open yet this weekend, hoping my luck is better than yours though.

On another note, I finally opened an account with another bank, so now I will have access to heck of a lot more banks to dump at. I'm going to make sure I cap my dumps at $500 per dump.

But I won't be able to coin hunt at all next week, so had to cancel my orders for next week. Going to be hitting it hard after that though.

Away on business all week. Got 2 boxes of Halves yesterday - both skunks.

Today went to pick up another box of Halves and somebody sniped them from my pick up bank. So, I grabbed $500 in dimes from 5 different banks. Found 5 x Silver Roosies!

 

$85 bag of nicks produced no wars, 1 '36 buff, 1 '09-P (Wow, 3 in a day?) and a few BU's from the '60's.

Another meh week, made worse by neglecting to order boxes of halves, but made slightly better by some great reject tube finds. 1.67 ounces for the week, guess it's better than nothing. Hopefully I get back into the swing of things when my halves boxes come in next week!

Meant to cancel my order for this week after 19/20 skunks and only 1x40% in the other box. Teller called me to tell me they were in yesterday so I grabbed them.

Nothing too crazy but 12 coins out of 4 boxes after getting 1 in the last 20 was a good feeling. Enough so, that I'm not canceling.

 

got 19 rolls of nickels and 18 rolls of dimes,got a 1944 war nickel and a 1916 mercury dime and a 1972-d nickel with some interesting qualities

4 boxes of dimes = only 4 Rosies and a '63 silver canadian. I think I'll be taking it easy on the Dimes for awhile...still some silver but ughhhhh....not fun opening all those up.

Went through a couple hundred dollars of dimes and nickels, skunked, opened one roll of dimes at work and got a '51 roosey!

I want to order a box of halves from my bank but the teller said I would have to pay shipping charges? Is this normal?

 

Chester - the reject tubes have been dry most of the year for me. I think the local banks are all catching onto the silver and scooping it for themselves. One teller has told me her boyfriend is CRH'ing. I'm thinking...oh great, I can kiss my chances of random silver lying around this branch!

I think the torch has been passed on for 2012!
