hello im new to the forum. I was going through some coins I had and and was gonna go cash them in at the coin machines and found 2 rolls of pennys in old bank of america penny rolls seen here http://i.imgur.com/om6WR.jpg the top roll is containing 1959 d pennies while the bottom is containing 1965 pennys. I was curious as too the value of these coins would be. here are the coins please note all the coins in the rolls are in wonderful condition and are all similiar to the pictures I am providing first off the 1959 d penny Front: http://i.imgur.com/7Q2CD.jpg Back: http://i.imgur.com/jDPGq.jpg second the 1965 penny Front: http://i.imgur.com/wEQ7t.jpg Back: http://i.imgur.com/n21aH.jpg Edit: there are some in alot better condition in the rolls the steps seem full in all pennys but that is to a newcomers observation any information on the worth of these coins is really appreciated!, in each roll there is about 47 each. if better pics are needed please let me know
Very nice find, you saved them from a torturous life in circulation. These are fairly common dates, and are not worth very much. But they are worth more if you can retain the full "red" look of the coins. Try not to touch them on the face. hold by the edges and store them as air tight as you can.
thank you some of them have nice edges no wear at all can see the bevel in the sides of some, only wear to them as it seems is from being in the rolls, do you think they are worth selling in the sets?
Not really worth the time to sell, 1959 rolls sell for about $5.00 and 1965 rolls sell for about $3.00. Still a great bank find and worth collecting and sharing.
