Someone awhile back wanted to see the difference between reprocessed steelies vs being cleaned with naval jelly. Well I forgot to post them so this is the difference, not great pics but the naval jelly one is on the right. Huge difference in hand.

Now is this to remove rust that usually forms on these? I have about 400 of them in various degrees of grade, mostly a lot of them have surface rust.

How long do you soak them for in the naval jelly?

Why are they copper colored instead of silver colored ?

Depends on how rusty they are, some only take 10 minutes and others a few hours...

How about before & after pictures of a really rusty one?

Maybe it's just me, but I would say it's more the type and position of your light source, and the type of camera used.

Yup, its my light. I just done these and their on a white paper plate so its definately the lighting. Reprocessed is on the right this time.

Those all the exact same coin? Finished one bottom left?

I believe the bottom left is the top right...

    In any case major improvement!

Cleans up enough to search for varities. They do dull after a couple of years to yellow/golden look.
But hey, its better than having a bucket of rust...
