I had a box not too long ago with over 20 canadians... that was peculiar.

What do you all do with all of the Candians? I must have at least $10 worth just in dimes sitting in my glove box. Along with all of the 5 Pence and the bermuda 10 cents. I would like to exchange all that somewhere and buy myself a couple silver quarters or something.

I've got a bag full of misc foreign coinage including tons of euros and whatnot, and a bag with appx $120 in canadian change. No clue what I'm gonna do with that... I've heard some people sell it on ebay with pretty good luck, the fees would be about 12%, so similar to coinstar...

Save it for a "free" trip to Canada, of course!

That's my plan thus far, haha... I figure a few more years of this hobby and I'll be able to blow $500 in the casinos up there like it's nothing, ha.

I sell it on ebay. I've had lots of modern Canadian coins go for a little over face.

On another note, 2 boxes of nickels last night:
Box 1- 1910 V Nick (my first from roll searching)
    Box 2- 2 War Nicks, both 1943 P.
Not a bad night, as far as I'm concerned.

    Lon,
Thanks for the idea, it's going to be years before I have enough to go to Canada. I'll list it on the Bay and see what happens.

I should start cleaning the magnet at the Penny when I go and dump my coins. Is the magnet located on the silver colored basket that I always take out so they can roll the machine out? Or should I be looking somewhere else.

I'll post a pic next time I go in... but yes, it's on that basket... drop a coin in after you pull it out, watch where it comes out... stick your hand in there and feel the top of that slot, you'll feel the coins stuck on the magnet there. Watch out for pins, staples, etc. All kinds of crap gets stuck on there.

Today is usually one of my busier days, but not today... car is getting an inspection, so I can't really do much.

Thanks Merc, I'll have to do that next time I go in. I always pull the basket out to try and help out the teller changing the bag. I'll be able to pull out the basket and clean the magnet before they even get out of their seat to help me.

That's what I do... grab as much off as fast as I can and shove it in my pocket, haha. They'll usually just give it to me, but sometimes they keep it.

    Nice box.

Another above average dime day for me today. My weekly $500 coin counter bag gave up '46, '51, '63 and '64 Roosies as well as...

...my first King George dime. I saw the bluenose on the back first and though it was another of the 40 or so canadians I'd found in the bag, but then I noticed the 1944 date. Fun to find!

    I also found this:

Something tells me it's not real. Cost me a dime though!

    FINALLY!!!

My second best box ever today. 28 x 40%ers!

A thing of beauty. My only bummer is I have to head out of town the next two weeks for business (St. Louis, MO)...so I'll be doing minimal searching.

Box of Dimes: Skunk..didn't hurt so bad.
