So I am working on a collection of British Coins and was wondering if someone might be able to help. I am trying to make a list of years the coins I am collecting were not struck here is what I have so far.. please feel free to add only collecting from 1860 forward (for now) Half Penny- 1961, 1970(might have been in proof sets ?) 1972 (last one struck was 1983) Penny 1972 (proof sets only) 1960, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54, 52, 43, 42, 41, 25, 24, 23 (last struck in 1967 for pre-decimal) no 68, 69, 70 six pence 1921-1946 (50 % silver) 1947-67 Nickel - all years made one shilling (same as six pence)
Since I have no interest in modern coinage (anything after 1839, at least), I can't give you any dates. This link is pretty complete, however: http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/values/index.html#index If you ever want to talk about something a little older, let me know guy
You are mixing your pre-decimals with your decimals. Buy 'the Bible' of British coinage and it is mighty cheap, too! Top-notch literature dealer has one for sale on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Coins-of-En...648?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c25b8fce8 Don't collect without it.
Just head for your nearest public library and ask to see the Krause World Catalog of Coins in the reference section.

That was there on the list, but I didn't indicate a footnote! If I recall, it's 2 proofs for that date - 1 for sure ...
