I believe this 1878-S Trade Dollar is an XF45. The toning seems natural to me so I would guess it was not cleaned. What's your opinion on value?

A nice XF-45. I would give in the $165-$180 range for it. You should be aware that this may be the most counterfeited series of US coins so most collectors will only buy certified examples.

It might just be me but, something just seems not quite right about this coin and I can't put my finger on it.

What is it exactly that bothers you about the coin.

    I don't think it's cleaned. It's a ex 45. $175-190

Like I said it might just be me.

It just doesn't look right to me. It's the wear on both sides, that looks a little strange to me.
