    my bad... didn't see the "ddr" part of the slab. overlooked it... :eek:

    ok, i am now confused. is it the 1939, rev of 1938? or is it the 1939, rev of 1940? there is some kind of "variety" early on and i can't tell them apart.

    the steps of the 38 reverse are wavy ~~~~~ where the steps of 40 have shall we say book ends and straight steps |=====|

    Picked up this little lady from a local shop. A few unfortunate hairlines away from a 64 grade. One of these days I'll send it off - I'm guessing PCGS gives it a 62-63 grade. I like buying these fives, but a set that I KNOW I could never even come close to finishing. LOL

    It's too soon to tell, but I am pretty sure I just picked up a 1981 s type 2 set for $4 at a yard sale...

    Bought two sets, from the naked eye the mint marks look vastly different between sets...meaning one should be regular and the other should be type 2!

    Fingers crossed...

    My newest ancient empress. This reverse is a bit on the scarcer side then usual.

    This one also looks like she has a mustache....considering there isnt much written on here, she may have :eek:.

    It doesn't have the factory engine...but I think it has a newer 350 v8...
