Yes, they come in 1k bags. A word of caution. I was very clear that I would be keeping all of these. Which I am planning on keeping the ones I want and selling off the rest. I have one teller who I know at a different bank that collects these so I will also be using some as bribes for other coins.

True, Called Loomis again to get clarity on what banks they service. It was early and the guy was grumpy and seemed to get suspicious and kept asking who I work for so I guess I should drop this attempt for now...

 

The ones where the people are dropping them off. The availability of CWRs has nothing to do with the bank itself and everything to do with people actually bringing them in to drop them off.

My P/U bank did not come through for me AGAIN this week. It's been 4 weeks of excuses. I now have another dump bank. I wonder if they will try a little harder to order for me once I start bringin in 50 lbs of halves every week. I'll give my other dump banks a little break.

Since I knew my BoA branch was going to drop the ball I ordered another box from a LOOMis supplied bank. It was skunky of course just like the other 10 or so I have done with them.

Went through a box of halves and dimes. The half dollars was a big fat nada for silver. I found on 57 roosie in the dime box, 5 canadian dimes and 1) 5 pence coin.

 

Hi folks. I'm a newbie to the CRH, 1 month as of today! I'm very excited to report that I'm really enjoying the hunt and feel that I've been doing pretty well so far. I didn't really count but I believe I've gone thru 6-8 boxes of dimes. I have 5 Rosies with varied dates between 46-62 and 1 Canadian dime from 62. Not bad at all. I received my first box of halves last Thursday and pulled a 1984-S, a BEAUTIFUL Commemorative 1986-S Statue of Liberty and a 64 90%! I was really pleased!

The kicker was this past Monday. I stopped in a random NH branch of my bank and asked if they had any halves kickin around. One of the teller quickly jumped in to say she had $90 worth. I told her I'd take the lot, which made her extremely happy to unload them. I said "it's a win-win for everyone..." jokingly. Little did I know once I got home that THAT was an understatement.

I hope my pic will show here. I pulled (3) S Proofs 85,86,99 - (8) 40% 66-69 and (5) 90% 64's! WOWIE WOW! Everyday should be like this!

I know it won't be, but I'm gonna keep on hunting! Next box of halves is coming on Friday. Keep on keepin on folks!

nice score!!! I am yet to have any success funding halves from teller trays. Every time I ask, they don't have any.

 

Called a few banks today, one had a box of halves laying around. I almost didn't go to pick it up because it was too far. But I am glad I did. 3x1968, 5!!!x1964, and a 1951 Franklin half dollar! My first one.

Edit: went through coins second time, missed a 1968 half. It looked like a clad coin on edge, had a bit of copper color shine to it. Also found a 1977 proof, but that one is most definitely a clad coin.

 

Box of halves, finally broke my streak of boxes without a 90%er at 27... 1 WLH. '41. I'll take it. Nothing else in the box.

 

Terrible streak, and if your going to break it with one 90%er it should be a Walker. Been a while since I've seen one of those.

I was able to do 2 of dimes and half of nickels
Dime. Gave me 6 rossies 1 in Ms condition 63d
And nickels gave me 2 wars 44d&s. And still have half box to check

Went through $55k in halves from boxes/bags between walking libs.

 

Got a call today from one of my tellers - she told me that a customer had dropped off a bunch of half dollars, 40 of which were 1969 and older. She told me that she'd hold them and that I could pick them up on Friday! Not sure why I can't get them until then, but I'm not going to complain and I'm certianly looking forward to finding out the details!

 

Amateur roll searcher here. Just purchased my first box to search. I went with Customer Wrapped Pennies. Looking for Wheats and coppers. Wish me luck
