If I were you, I'd get all they have. 2 silver dollars out of 500 is pretty solid.

Can you just dump them in a coin lock bag and get credit from your bank. That way you don't have to try and cash them in at local banks and get them mad at you. My coin bags do have a spot to mark off for dollar coins. I'm just not sure if they mean SBA's and Golden dollar coins. Might be worth checking into to turn your money back around quickly.

Well the box of halves with the '64 ender only produced that and a '67. Oh well, always nice to get a 90%. I have yet to find a Ben or Walker from a box. I would assume those are VERY few and far between.

You have a decent chance of finding a Ben. I've been searching for 3 months and have found 3 all in different boxes. I'm still searching for the elusive walker but have seen people on here pull them every so often. So there is hope.

I've actually been selling them and making about 25 cents profit per coin so I don't want to dump them at my bank lol

Good for you that you have a buyer at $1.25 each, that is good little profit you can make there.

Agreed. I have only found 11 90% halves in the last year, but 8 of them have been Franklins.

Marking the edges is still considered damaging the coins.[/QUOTE]

I agree with it still being considered damage. How hard is it to just run your finger over the coins instead of a marker? Also, I've noticed that ALOT of the 40%'s I've been finding have pen marks along the edge, which means either a machine is sorting just 90% or someone is not very efficient in there roll hunting.

Two boxes of halves; both skunks.

Seriously, this year has been BRUTAL save for one fantastic box, really. Is this even worth my time any more?

20 boxes this month, 20 40%ers to show for it, and 12 were out of one box... 7 came out of another 2, that means 16 skunks... 80% of my boxes were a waste of time.

Don't quit! Reading through your finds before I started was a big inspiration in starting myself. Time for another road trip? The next one will be a monster, hang in there.

    $115 CWR dimes: UK 5p
    $10 BWR dimes: nothing

Merc: Maybe try ordering from a different bank? Or order a couple boxes from DE or NJ?

    Two boxes of halves.
Box 1: skunk (third in a row)
Box 2: 7 40%, 1 NIFC, and one golden 1973. Looks like it might have been gold plated or something.

Got my weekly $500 bag of dimes off the bank coin counter today - a '64 to show for it! Today's dime bag also contained two buttons, a nickle, and a Cuban cinco centavos.

So i bought my first dime box today. In my first roll I got a 47 Roosie! But I have a question for all of you- The rolls are in plastic so I can see all of them. I have looked ahead and see no silvers, so I am wondering if it's still worth opening all of them. What is my chance I will find anything worth while?
