... that is the question. Well not THE question, but a question. Well not really a question, but a statement pointed at you guys infering I'd like your opinions... :)

So I recently came across four uncirculated D Army Half Dollars (lowest mintage of any modern blah blah blah, you all know the story). Got an insanely good price on them, at least I think.

Now I have some vouchers with PCGS, what are you opinions on slabbing these vs keeping them in OGP?

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

Honestly, with the modern commemoratives being mass produced (Compared to many other countries' coinage), you're better off keeping them raw or in an airtite.

If you can grade and you think you might have a 70, it would be worth the gamble. Last I heard PCGS hasn't graded any of these in 70. You would have a very nice windfall. Depending on what you got the coins for originally, with the free submissions, even if you got 69's you would at least make some money on them.

Unless you're planning on selling them and want to take a gamble on the MS70. Otherwise wouldn't send in a modern commem. coin to get slabbed.

MS70 fetches a nice premium in the comm. market. there are so many 69's floating around.

From what I understand, these things are going for 'way silly money' over on the Bay. Slab 'em (since you've got the vouchers), sell 3 and keep one for the coin cabinet. Just a humble opine. I only bought one of these and it will stay in OGP......

I see I see. Today i received my 1976 business strike 3 pce. bicentenial in the mail, i love the goober packaging. Although the quarter is toning, must be a pinhole in the celophane?

Quite possibly. Is the toning unattractive?

No, i mean i got the set for a fairly decent price so it does not bother me. It's similar to a black pinhead, burnt look. Infact, i saw a thread about the pattern of it by another member not too long ago stating it was a burnt look.
