I'm just giving this a cheap bump so those of you headed to Baltimore this weekend remember to post some photos !!!
Yes, I believe you will. And, if the Barber Gods smile down on me, I also will have a few newps as well. A friend has a dozen XF 45's for me.
I'm ready, I have all my stops planned. Also it will be the first BCCS meeting I will get to attend. Hopefully you have you XF deal done so I can see them!
Mike, I LOVE this half! There is something about Narlins (New Orleans in their native tongue =P) minted coins that just fascinate me. I think it is because they are no longer a functioning mint...but who knows really. Also, Log Potato, I love your coins too! You have some STUNNING Barbers! I didn't mean to exclude you.
Good - as you guys continue to upgrade to higher end VFs and XFs than there should be lower end VFs available for the rest of us...
I recently found this in an album i thought was empty. That makes a total of 2 Barber quarters I have! Most of the ones in this thread make mine look terrible. Either way, it sure was a surprise. Although i know potator will like it.
No images yet- but I picked up three new Halves... 1893-O & 1900-P in 45 and The 14-S in 53. Nice coins and images soon, I hope !!
Wow, those are great Justin. They're all fantastic; that 13 and 10s have such a nice look. Did you leave any down there for anyone else? I have to get to a bigger show - or just stop wasting time and talk to the right people
Go to table 310 tomorrow. You will find coins that will blow your mind. Those guys have some of the best coins for the Barber half lovers. If you can make it Jim, it is well worth it.
8 hour drive won't happen tomorrow haha or I definitely would have. I have to plan better for the shows and certainly will in the future
The next big East Coast show will be in Philadelphia second week of August. I'm sharing a table with a good friend who has a consignment of Commems that are out of this world. I will have some newps for your perusal as well. Thirty seven Barber Quarters were reconsigned to me; plus more Seated material as well. I only won one coin at auction - its a mind blower - that's all I'll say for now. Once it's imaged, I will post it. However, this coin will be a challenge for anyone. Speaking of images, my friend Todd Pollock ( BluCCphotos) imaged my two die cap errors. Should be interesting how they came out.
Can't wait to see the photos. Those of you continuously upgrading and accquiring additional coins - do you keep lists of what you have for sale? I bought my first slabbed coin a week ago and it arrived - I'll have to take some photos and post it
I am ashamed of my barbers and dont want to be laughed out of here All i have is a 1909-O quarter and a 1903 half
Nonsense - post away. Look at the ones I post. Also - you should see the coins I post on the other "post" threads - it is what it is
ok ill take some pics in a min, but my 1909-0 is hardly reconizable as one its so warn it weighs only like 5.5 grams or something lol. Its flat lol. Cool year though if it was in better shape...
