I know it is a horrible picture, but it is my new 1886 Liberty Head Nickel. Super excited to get that hole filled. Now I just have the 1885 and 1912-s to pick up, but they will probably take a little longer to find in a condition and price that is managable right now.
The quality isn't great, but for now it is one I can mark off the list!
    Thanks for taking a look!

She's a little on the rough side but a good date, and great find! How much did you dish out for her. I have an 1885 PCGS XF45 if your interested let me know.

Ooooo, the 12-S is a tough date.

I paid $42 for it when I picked it up today. Even in the condition its in, i figured it was a good deal.

I'm fairly certain this is out of my price range. I'll probably start out with one in a similar condition to this 86, and maybe upgrade down the road...

From your experience, what would you say would be a fair price for an 85 and 12-s in similar condition to the 86 that I have listed? Thanks!

I've seen 85s in similar condition (AG-) for $400 and less, but I haven't actually never seen a 12-S in anything less than G-VG.

Last year I sold some junk silver I'd had since the 1990s and was able to get an 86 and 12-S in VG+.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind and put them on my long term buy list... That book will now be on the back burner. Probably start looking for a 70-s sm date cent to close out that book next.

Yes - you are correct. Now go get us a nice picture of that semi-key date coin. :) I think $42 was a good price on that coin. I think I need a 93 and 94 for the low grade set and about 6 or 7 for the higher grade set. Nice coin.
