$260 CWR halves: Four '64s, one '62 Canadian half
    About $10 loose: nil
Box of dimes: One '64 Roosie and a possible in very bad shape. Painted over and worn down enough that I could only read "196" on the date, and no mintmark on the front: An occasion for my patented, high-tech, and 100% accurate wire cutter test! Diagnosis: clad.

Also made arrangements to buy the $1000 half bag off the nearest coin machine once it fills up.

    $460 CWR halves - 1 40%
3 boxes of dimes - 2 '68 canadians a Barbados dime and a hong kong dime.
Teller tray Merc '41 in really nice condition!!

Found a strange Canandian dime. It's 2001 but instead of the boat on the reverse it has 3 profile faces, a son, and a banner that reads "the year of the vollunteer." Anything noteworthy about this coin?

    Agreed. I've found a bunch of 70-S but don't think I've ever found a 70-D

Got a letter last night from one of my banks. I figured it was some garbage letter but when I started reading, a bad feeling came over me.

"On Friday (I forget the date) at 2:00 p.m. we will be closing.....a local branch". Phew, I thought I was getting cut off, but I'm instead losing a bank where they supply me with 2 boxes of halves every couple weeks. This is not cool because there are so few branches around me I need this pick-up bank because I dump at the other branches.

On a better note, the closest TD Bank to me is now marked on their website as having a Penny Arcade. I would go in there and drop rolled coins on them and always ask about a Penny. They kept telling me in a couple weeks....I guess they weren't lying. I'm probably going to have to teach them how to use the machine....lol

Yeah, local branch closings are annoying. They closed my main dump TD bank (literally 500 feet from my house) at the beginning of the year, so now I have to go across town to dump coins.

I guess it was kinda a blessing in disguise, since it made me hunt around for other dump banks and I ended up finding one that keeps a large bag in the half dollar slot full time. Also, my new main dump bank has been pretty lucky for reject tube finds (although not lately lol)

$100 CWR halves, one 40%. the bank had several hundred more dollars of halves but wouldn't give me more even though I have an account. I think it's just because she was too lazy to go back in the vault for me. So they're going to save $2k worth of halves for me for next week, and I'm going to pay them in $20's. If I hear the slightest complaint or whine from them, next week I'll order $3k and pay in $5's :D

Be careful if you have that many bills in your wallet. You'll be like George Costanza from Seinfeld and get back problems...ha ha ha

Haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Did we ever decide to create a monthly results thread?

Boxes of halves have been skunky for me recently.

    2/20/2012-skunk
    2/25/2012-skunk
    2/25/2012-skunk
    2/27/2012-skunk
    2/27/2012-skunk
    3/5/2012-1967, 2011d
    3/5/2012-1967, 1987p, 1996s, 2011d
    3/8/2012-1966, 1967 x 2, 1968d x 2, 1969
    3/8/2012-skunk

After 4 straight skunk boxes of dimes in mid-February it's gotten better:

    2/27/2012 ($100.00)-1957
    3/5/2012 (box)-1952, 1964d
    3/8/2012 (box)-1945, 1962, 1963

Time to ramp up my volume.

The head teller at one of my buy banks has a bunch (10-15?) rolls of Presidential dollars that someone cashed in. I am going to buy them all so if anyone is missing any rolls for their collection, I'll post which ones I don't keep.

    Penny Arcade?

Penny Arcade is what TD Bank calls their coin counting machine. It's got a cute little girl character who is supposed to count children's piggy banks for them and they hopefully will deposit into their savings accounts. We all abuse them with thousands and thousands of half dollars, well I do anyway....oops

Oh, Just like you have done in your post up above? I keep my information in an Excel Spreadsheet, I wonder if a copy and paste would work or if it would come out all crazy. Have to try it out once the next thread is started.
