With help from green18's tutorial I downloaded photoscape and made this. Not as hard as I thought. I noticed most of you don't put a perspective on your photos but I kinda like it.
Nice job! The reason most coin photographers don't shoot their photos at an angle is because it tends to mask detracting marks as well as luster. Chris
Changing the perspective like that distorts the image just about the same as if you shot it an an angle. Personally I don't like it at all, and it will make any grading difficult or impossible IMHO.
Yeah, change the perspective when throwing it in as a graphical design into something else, like a website, etc. Not when trying to post photos of the coins for others to view the details.
Nice job with the crop and reflection. Ken's tutorial sure seems to help out a lot of folks! I wouldn't angle the image though. It really detracts from the coin and it's details.
