I added 100 IKES to the ones I had and managed to put together two sets with all but the 72 Type 2 and the 76 type 1. I gathered everything up and got 100 to turn back in. But never seriously considered a set of them before. Even ended up with some extra 72 Type 1, which I held back.

Very nice Gary! Did you get the 76-D Type 1 out of that?

I've had some good finds as of late.

Went through 10 rolls of CWR pennies and this is what I found worth noting:
1 roll dated to 1995 or before.
1 roll dated to 1992 or before.
1 roll dated to 1988 or before.
I found six Gem Mint blazing 1986D cents mixed around in the other 7 rolls. The edges on two of them have darkened so I don't know if they recently came from an original roll or what.

Went through 20 rolls of nickels and I found:
    1 1943P war nickel and 1 1943S war nickel. I also found a 1949S, I believe this is a better date.

Went through 10 rolls of dimes and I found:
1 1964D in a roll with 51 dimes in it. This made the silver dime free, lol.
1 1981D in Mint BU blazing condition.
    2 1990D in unc. condition.
Several of the rolls were over-filled 1 or 2 dimes.

Went through nearly 100 rolls of quarters in the last week and found:
    1 1968P in XF/AU condition.
1 1974D in around unc. condition.
1 1986D in around unc. condition.
    1 1991P in unc. condition.
1 2001P Rhode Island in BU condition.
1 2005D Oregon in BU condition.
1 2006S Nevada Proof. This is only my 2nd proof from circulation. My 1st proof was a 1960 cent from several years ago.

I brought in alot of rolls to a grocery store bank today and I was told "Our safe is nearly full, a guy brought in over $3,000 in rolled coins yesterday." These rolls comprised all denominations and included alot of pennies. I offered to buy some rolls to help alleviate them having a safe full of coins. I was expecting some rolls from what this guy turned in. The tellers came out with 30 BWR rolls of nickels and 3 sealed BWR boxes of pennies! It would have been cool to have been given some rolls that were turned in by this one guy. One teller made the comment that they ship out their excess rolls on Tuesday's, I may go back on Monday and offer to buy more rolls before they get sent out.

In some more nickels I found a 2003 S with all of its shine still there.

Two boxes of dimes today: Box 1 had two silver Roosies (one of which looks like it's covered in tar) and two UK 5ps. Box 2 was a mix of BWR and CWR; no silver, but the CWR often had 51 dimes in them as usual. Ended up 90 cents ahead.

5 boxes of dimes 4 Rosies.
1 box of pennies 1 Wheat, 1 copper, and tons to check for WAMs
1 box of Nickels 1 1975 that is perfect, 7 dateless Buffalos and 1 1936 buffalo. My 10 year old and her friend found 5 of the buff's. They were firsts for all of us and I may have finally gotten her hooked on searching through coins with me.

Picked up a box of halves yesterday. Skunk. There was a 1977S and a 1994S in the box. What is odd is that is the second 1977S from the same bank in a week.

Here's a picture of all my finds so far in 2012 since I started hunting :)

EDIT: Oops, the walker I got from a friend of mine as a gift recently, and the two silver quarters I got in change as a kid... which is what made me want to start coin roll hunting :)

YEP ! There were 2 actually !!! I was really thrilled to get 4 - 72 type 3 too ! I already had a dozen or so I hadn't sorted, so I went through them with this $100 worth. It was an awesome spread for sure !

Someday, looking back, today might be the straw that broke the camels' back.

    $1430 in dimes - nothing.
    $220 CWR halves - nothing.
    $200 nickels - nothing.
    $500 quarters - nothing.

Brutal. Taking a break for a while.

$400 halves from Brinks. I was excited because there was a 68 on the end of one roll. Sadly that turned out to be the only silver I found.

I was given the rolls by the person who orders the coins and she asked if I wanted more halves. I said sure and she said just tell her how many I want and she'll order them anytime. She was very nice about ordering anything I wanted.

    Hey guys,

Please check out and help with my new FAQ thread. I think it is fairly complete. I mostly need help with listing the key dates and common error coins to watch for in each denomination.

hopefully we can concur that it is complete enough to request a sticky shorty. This will be a great help to newbies. You can only edit a thread a certain number of times before it stops letting you make changes so I am not going to add anything to my first post until I feel it is ready to be considered complete.
