Shore up a few collections. I will definitely do less buying this year of coins.

I'll continue to add to my German States and Notgeld collections. The goal currently is to obtain as many different issuers as possible. I hope to do some interesting write ups here on Cointalk and share my collection here and on Instagram. I went to my first coin show this year and hope to attend a couple this coming year as well.

I'll probably buy a coin or two at FUN. Maybe Bust Half Dollars. I also hope to sell a large part of my collection. I have waited too long.

I do go to the state coin show every year. I know there is a state numismatic association, and I do plan on looking into them. As for local groups, I don't think there are any, at least that I am aware of. I know I am socially anxious and am sure that plays a large roll into it as well, but I do think this will be my one big resolution for my hobby this year.

I'm not sure yet... I do want to get a cob coin, capped bust 50c, and a pillar dollar. I hope to get more ancient coins too... I am also considering getting a gold dollar...

Finish my America the Beautiful sets. Continue with the American Women sets. Pick up more wheat penny's I don't have and Find more W Quarters and find a few 2019 W Penny's.

I see no reason to change what I’m doing just because a new year is coming.

You don't have to go for every coin meeting, but many coin clubs are quite inexpensive for dues. I'm just thinking that you might put out feelers to meet up, say at the coin show and discuss or show off some coins. Or do so at the coin club meeting.

I would like to play some more Cribbage this year. Maybe teach someone.

I've not played cribbage since I was probably about 11 years old with my grandmother (1960s). Solitare, maybe a few years now.

For 2023 I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing, finish up Australia Decimal coinage and keep acquiring coins dated 1945 and older.

Also get my 2023 sets...US and foreign.

I'd like to keep up my habit of remaining extremely picky about what I buy. In 2022, I added only 8 coins to my pile, but I really dug every single one. I didn't look back on any and say "eh, why did I buy that?" Not buying impulsively has helped quite a bit, along with not worrying that I might lose a coin if I don't act quickly enough. Loss anxiety probably costs many people plenty of money, especially in auction situations - I avoid auctions). After all, plenty of more nice coins will come along (and honestly, I don't need any of them). I've really enjoyed having a far more casual and laid back attitude towards the hobby. I hope to continue that.

Apart from that, I'd like to sell more coins. My interests in US coins and moderns have really waned over the past few years and I would rather make room for other kinds of coins going forward. We'll see if I follow through. I find selling a real pain.

Lastly, I've recently read some pretty fascinating numismatic journal articles. Hopefully I'll do more of that as well.

I have been working on my collection of American Silver Eagles. I have the 4th Edition of "American Silver Eagles" by John M. Mercanti which is a great starting point. The hardest (and most expensive) are those ASE's that are in a set. There are many that are tied to a set of an American Gold Eagle that could end up being the only one I can get. There are two that are out of my budget, the 2020-W, World War II Privy Mark, Proof Coin (Mintage of 75K) and the 2019-S, Enhanced Reverse Proof Coin (Mintage of 89,909).

One goal is to finish my IHC set, I'm short the 69-72, the 77, and the two S mints. Another goal is to cut down on impulse purchases, i love MS walkers, franklins, and peace dollars, but sheesh, how many do i need?

I'm missing those exact ones except for 1870 from my IHC set too.

I see examples often, they're available, but I'm going to have to get over my reluctance to spend the money most people are asking for.

I'd like to go to a coin show, I've never been to one yet. Not big on in person events yet - I care for an immuno-compromised parent but this summer I may mask up and go to one if there's one around here (Connecticut these days), I think that would be awesome based on all the reports I've read here. Other than that, continue to move my top SLQ set into AU/MS graded / slabbed coins as budget permits, work on a Capped Bust Half circulated date set and keep buying shiny things that have history.
