Here's the few that I have acquired lately. I still don't have any slabbed Morgans though...

I don't collect Morgans, but I did buy a few dozen when I first started collecting. I do enjoy imaging them though! They are the easiest to image for sure. Trying out the new camera, so I started on some of them.
All of mine are uncirculated, but some are pretty baggy. The luster on most of them is amazing however.

So I checked it out, and I am so new to the collecting world that I have no idea what I am looking for. So do I check and see if my Morgans have those VAM's? How do I know for sure if they do? I know, I sound like a putz, but I am really trying to understand all this!

On that site you click the "look up by date"
Then click on your date and your MM (mint mark).
Look at the pictures and try to verify what is the exact VAM you have.

If you are that new though I'd say for you to go back to VAM's in a year and learn about types and grades first.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for the help.

I guess I am not as new as I came across. I have been really studying up on types and grades and think that I have an understanding of that. I guess what I was saying is that I really haven't ventured into VAM's up until now and I was a little overwhelmed by the site. I think a few days of good hard study should get me started.

    Thanks again!

Just picked this up for $30. Highly mirrored fields under all the murk. Any suggestions?

She's pretty dirty. Hard to tell if it's a possible "PL"

Pic 3 shows a reflection of a microscope box, but has a fine film haze across the coin or would be very sharp. Different camera would help too. Just wondering whether I should give it a quick dip or not.
