rodeoclown is exactly correct. I didn't want to get into specifics. cman..bmp is not a scalable type.
Vector is best, so it scales properly.
Also, you will also want a transparent background so the logo will look good on various color media backgrounds.
Just stuff to think about....I could go on for paragraphs on the proper files and techniques, but I won't....

I guess if you are simply using it for the website, then it really doesn't matter on most of that stuff. But when the printer asks for your logo to make cards, or tshirts or whatever...don't expect the website logo to be even remotely acceptable.

what are your favorite individual coin/note designs and/or coins/notes that you sell more often than others?

Have no idea on designing. I would ask Gbroke for sure. I made this one in about 3 minutes using word, paint, and an image DL off of google. It might be fun for you to create your own though.

No offense taken. Im not trying to prove i know anything beyond what i think i do. Was just going from experiance on what all of the people said to my father when i designed his logo for his business. They all wanted bitmap images and thats the explanation that i was given. Thank you for informing me the correct way. :D

It is true that you best use a logo that you can use on businesscard or other printwork to.
But these days you can almost use every image on printed materials like cards.
As far as i know lots of company's that make cards can use all image formats, they dont need vectors anymore.

Well, that's why if you use SVG, it's easy to scale to the size needed.

True but that's why I likely see so many crappy looking website logos and business cards to go with them.

Jloring. I personally sketched that peace dollar with a broken left hand. =0

I could have sketched it with both hands tied behind my back in 2 minutes, keep practicing. ;)

I personally believe that no photo should ever be used in a logo. Back "in the day" all my designing was done by hand... pencilled and then inked. Now I simply use AutoCad (per my avatar), but that doesn't allow anywhere near the possibilities that graphics programs offer. In fact, most logo design could be done quite well with some of the free downloads available (all of which are a quantum leap above "ms paint").

I will most likely call the winner sunday night so you can even enter sunday if you want but I might call it saturday. Definetly not friday so your good on friday. I like the pictures I see so far but Im looking for something more like this http://www.americancoinnj.com/ if you see in the top left a coin with 3 letters. I want something simple kind of like that, not wordy at all. At most, I would just want Glen Rock Coins and Currency with no other words or phrases or maybe even better by just using GRC&C or something like that. I'm not shutting down your ideas but I just want to give you the best chance to win.
