What is the correct way to explain these errors and also more importantly, what would their values be around???
Thanks, I just acquired them and thought they were worth asking about. Hopefully someone can give me a good idea on their value.
I am no expert in errors, but being just a typical off-center i think 3-5 each would be fair. But im just making a somewhat guess. Nice coins though.
Wow where did u get all those. I would say 4-5 dollars each it is nice that they have the date still visible.
I appreciate the help guys, I actually have 7 more 2001 pennies that were off-center struck like these as well. so $33 at least for 11 pennies doesn't sound like a bad deal at all
I'm pretty positive they came from a mint bag at first, but that's just my guess. My friend is a bank teller and alerted me that he just received a bunch of rolls that probably hadn't been picked through yet. And guess what, he couldn't have been more right lol
At $3-$5 value, I wouldn't bother spending the money to get them slabbed. The slab would cost more than the coin inside it.
Don't get them slabbed, it would cost to much and I would say $6-$7 each since they are BU and a readable date.
So how much does getting them slabbed or graded cost and wouldn't it be worth having it done for the potential buyer? And once again, I appreciate everyone's input, this forum and all you guys have been extremely helpful, I just started collecting this past year and I guess I have been pretty lucky with pennies so far. Just before I found these guys, I found a WIDE AM 2000 penny, here's a pic of that
Depending on how many you get done at one time, the price is going to be around $30 each. Then you can sell them slabbed for around $15. You do the math. Remember the rule.... buy the coin not the slab.
