2006 $1.00 Star Note. I really dont know anything about the Paper money so if anyone has any ideals to value let me know. Thanks
If I am correct that bill is from a run of 3,200,000 with a rather large center fold. You really think it would bring 3X or 4X FV? IMO you would be lucky to get $1.50 for it.
....and yet a different one sold for $.99 http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-SERIES...803?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e6a0a8383
Thanks guys. Always very helpful. I'm not a paper guy but let me ask what does bring a premium when it comes to paper?
It's woth about $1.50. That's the DC run which is 3.2 mil. If it were FW, it would be a 640k run, but it's DC... -tbud
Well if there is any paper guys that want it let me know. I find them then pass them on for those who collect them to enjoy.
I guess what I was asking was besides the three main things that set the price for every collectable is there something that just jumps out at you. I mean a certain series, a certain type of note, a specific error. I have a hay farm in Texas and have several banks and have a few bills pass through my hands from time to time but I don't have wouldn't have the time to look in detail. My hay season starts in a couple of weeks so just wondering.
Based on the pics, nothing pops out that would project it into any further sort of premium. Take into consideration that a note is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. I agreed that it could be worth up to $4, but that is at the highest possible point and would most likely sell for less than that number. But I've definitely seen just common stars sell for 3x face just for being star notes.
Thanks for the info guys. I really have no intrest in paper money, the only reason I even look for the stuff is because of a estate find a couple of months ago. Ever since then I look but do not collect. When I find them I post them on here if someone says hey I want that I ship it to them for whatever coins they have laying around. And like I said since hay season is coming up I will be going through a few bills here and there since 90% of my business is cash. Anything I should just be floored by would help! Like a certain series and bill size would be great.
