just received it today. it's not a typical coin i usually purchase. this one comes with a bit of "hopeful history" to it. my ancestors lived in the duchy of jülich-berg until the late 17th century. the oldest back i have been able to trace in my family tree is to my 13th-great-grandfather was born around 1515 in kaldenkirchen, jülich-berg, germany. i know it's a long shot, but i still think it's cool to own a coin that he could have held and spent.

Very nice addition & its even cooler you might have family ties to it. With stuff like that, it makes you wonder. Thats what makes them more then just chunks of metal.

i know what you mean! i have found, in my research, that some family "facts" are so far from the truth it's rediculous. however, i have found a few things out that we never knew. you never know what you will find!! :)
