Made a thread... I think mine is pretty complex and detailed... it's been built and gradually added to over the past couple years.

I assume they have very delicate hands or something, but it is obvious that it's been done. You'll know it if you see it! Stinks.

That's above average for sure, even taking just the 40%ers! With 9 90%ers also I think that qualifies as a monster find! Drop your buddy one or two of those as a tip and get him to keep giving you the good stuff ;)

For me (sorry for writing a novel here, it's been an interesting day):

Yesterday I finished off two more boxes of nickels, found three more wars (43 P, 43 S in great condition, 45 D), two buffalo (36 and dateless type 1), and a handful with some nice toning.

Today I tried to dump the nickels at one of my dump banks -- bad idea! They wouldn't even look inside the two full boxes, immediately saying they had to be sent off for counting. They did let me cash out the remaining 30-odd rolls of nickels and five rolls of halves, but only after I wrote my account number on each. Note to self: Keep it under 100 rolls per dump! And stay away from that branch for a while!

After that little fiasco, I decided to enjoy the rest of my free day by calling around and dropping in for halves. First stop: A branch of my bank that I haven't hit up said that someone's been order boxes of halves, but hasn't picked up the latest for a while! Sounds promising, right? WRONG! Re-taped flat box filled with nothing but CWR clads! By the tenth roll or so I was doing nothing but a cursory glance at the edges and getting not-so-cursory glances from a park ranger in his cruiser. He seemed both suspicious and disturbed at all the fumbling around I was doing alone in the car. Fortunately he was more interested in his lunch, because that conversation would have turned my day from bad to worse. Crisis averted!

Buoyed by a tenuous yet successful dump of all 50 rolls (key plays: didn't bring in the box and "I have more in the car, is that okay?"), I decided to strike out onto some virgin territory for me. A small town and its four banks was up first. Not much in terms of volume, maybe $15 loose overall, but pretty good in yield, and GREAT in customer service! Netted my only silver on the day: a '36 quarter I spotted in the tray and a '69 half. Also picked up some tips on which tellers have been hoarding the halves and when they work next ;) Definitely will be heading back!

Scooted over to the next town, a medium-sized suburb with a big commercial district and a ton of banks. It was getting later in the day and busier, so I didn't have as much time to chat, but I charmed out all the info I could. I got a couple leads later this week, including a teller with an Ike stash! Totals for town two: 21 CWR or re-wraps, 3 BWR, and some more handfuls of loose coin. Skunk except for a '76 S clad proof. Oh, and 30 Ikes! With a promise of more tomorrow!

    TL;DR
573 CWR, 3 BWR: One '76 proof half
About $65 loose: One '69 half, one '36 quarter, thirty Ikes
    Morning: Frustration
    Afternoon: All smiles, baby!

going to be running around looking for coin tommorow. I think I am going to up my order to 4 boxes a week. I don't want to wear out my welcome at any one bank though. do you know if going to a differnt branch is good enough or will they see my records? should I go to a completly different branded bank or just a differnt branch of the same bank I am currently ordering from?

A different branch is fine, as far as I can tell. At one point, I had 2 different branches of the same bank ordering for me, and 2 other branches I used as dump banks. The only issue came when one of the tellers at an order bank got promoted and moved over to one of the dump banks. First time I saw her there, she sort of had an "A-ha!" look, like it clicked and she saw the whole cycle. She was cool about it though, and was happy to have a familiar customer coming in.

Went through my bank boxes today. Out of 3 boxes found 8 silver total. Two '64s and six 40% and also found a '96 toonie.

Bought some dime boxes after work yesterday. Found my first mercury in awhile. I've been though many boxes and I bet I only have 15 of those things.

    Box of Halves - Skunk

So my hot start to CRH has completely ended. I haven't been able to get a box from my credit union for a couple weeks of which I was two for three with thiry keepers. I have gone through eight straight boxes from my new bank in the meantime, all which have been skunks. Do you guys run in to some banks that simply don't produce? Should I switch to another order bank or keep plugging away at this one?

My favorite bank has a stash of 60 Ike's. Should I pick them up? If I do, what do I look for?

    Thanks---Steve

I was wondering what everyone does with all those Ike's they get also. Do they keep them all? I know their are some key ones. But it seems like people on here really like getting a bunch of them. I do like them also, but the average clad ones in circulation don't do anything for me unless they are worth more.

Wells Fargo sucks. They want me to open an account? Fine... I'll open an account, have them order me 10 boxes of halves, and not pick any up. Have fun eating those fees, not like WF boxes ever produce anything anyway...

Hey, I am a roll hunting newbie here. What do you mean by this? Does Wells Fargo stink for roll hunters? That is my main bank(I know, I'm sorry too) and that is where I have gotten all my rolls so far, so I am just wondering if I am looking at the wrong place.

Varies depending on where you are, really. Where I live, they suck.

    Dimes: Skunk

Quarters: 3 bicentennials! I was happy cause I've been looking for these lately and never see them :)
