Some sort of novelty piece with an inlayed Barber dime.

 

It's from a set made by American Mint, called the American Currencies Medallions.

A local auction company is advertising this as a 1912 silver coin with a gold coin in the center and the bid is up to over 250$ LOL. I knew immediately this was a generic crap coin but hadn't seen any floating around before, thanks guys. I feel sorry for the suckers bidding.

 

Ugh, that is just wrong. I partially blame the bidders though, for not doing their due diligence.
