But this one sure made me happy. Paid 30% over book on this coin thinking it was a definite beaner, maybe a gold bean candidate, and in hand, I bet I'm right. Feel free to GTG... Sellers pics; And my pics; I've had some great luck picking up some mighty fine looking Mercs off eBay in the past week and a half.
The seller's pictures don't indicate FB on the center band. However, your photo does show FB on the center band. 66FB?
Is that the holder distorting the view between the R and T? I'm just curious because the other two sections seem obvious where it's the holder but it looks like damage at that point on the rim if it's not the holder itself just causing distortion because it seems to go way further in than the others.
Yes, that's one of the gasket tabs. The coin is more lustrous in hand... I try to capture all the details and color of the coin more so than the luster. Once I get a copy stand, I'll start messing around more with my F-Stop to draw more light into the lens to show luster better.
FSB, I see a die crack across the top of the reverse, nice luster, not much wear, I'd say this would be 66+.
66 or 67 FB, depending entirely on luster. It appears a bit muted in photos. Therefore I would guess it is graded 66FB and you are hoping for a 67.
