I know for some of you there have been so many you might not remember, but I am still searching:D What was your first find, and how long or how much do you think you searched before you found one, or did you find it in pocket change. If you have a picture of it please share.

and i BOUGHT it... i've never found an error.

as for varieties... i've only found some of the 1960/1960-d large/small date cent varieties. i've found 3 of the 4 varities. i can't remember which one is the more valuable one, which is the one i am missing. i'm still searching for my first WAM.

    Where it all began...

One of the coins I was given in 1969 by my grandmother to begin my very enjoyable 43-year journey of coin collecting was a 1945-S wheat cent, and the rest is history.

The other goodies I received that first day were an 1842 large cent, an 1865 two-cent piece, an 1882-H Canadian large cent, a 1942-S Washington Quarter and a pair of 1958/1958-D Franklin half dollars.

  10. The first variety that I found was my first 1998 WAM (I've found two so far).

I found some interesting grease filled die pennies, but the first true variety find was a 1998 WAM. Since then I've found a total of four of those (found the latest one tonight). 3 2000 WAMs, a really nice 2011P-DDO-04 and two indian heads. All of these were pulled out of $25 Brinks boxes I pick up at my bank. I'm up to about 30,000 coins sorted.

I also save the 1959-1981 and 1982 copper pennies as bullion. Does anyone else do that?

Cazkaboom One for all, all for me.

I found a severe grease filled die Lincoln where almost none of the lettering on the obverse was visible while roll searching. Sadly, I put it back into circulation :(

Very nice coin. I need to get this slab cleaned and fixed up so these pesky scratches aren't in the way.
