how much is this error penny worth?

    If it's what I think it is, its struck through grease, which makes it worth one cent.

    Too bad its a 1991 missing the last 1 and not a 1992 missing the last 2.

    Question for me is.. how do you know its a 1991 if the last digit is missing?

    If it's a wide AM, it's gotta be a 90-92 or 98-99.

    If it's a close AM, it's gotta be a '92-99.

    So you can kinda narrow down the date.

    The premium over face is absolutely negiligible. If you like it, keep it, it only cost you one cent... presumably, at least.

    Don't listen to them, DJ. Yours, being in perfect condition,
    should sell, at a good auction, for at least $250,000. On
    a good day, maybe even $300,000.

    I would insure it for at least that amount if I were going
    to keep it.
