Which U.S. coin has the ugliest design?

Well, I'm probably in the minority regarding computer etching as I do indeed like it. Cents with low/high relief I don't pay much attention to but have you pulled any of the newer nickels out of the change lately? Monticello absolutely pops off the coin.

the cents of the 1960s are ugly. they are all pretty poorly struck.

 

The cents of the 60's are GREAT! Much better than the ugly low releif crapola of today!

 

To those of who think Ike dollars are hideous, tell me something from the 70's that wasn't! The AMC Gremlin was made from 1971-1978, and it's not pretty by any means!

In my opinion, anything Barber. The series is my least favorite. However I'm sure MS examples would be nicer than the ones I have come to own.

 

Yeah I agree, not a big fan of the barbers myself unless in mint state. Especially the halfs. They make liberty look like a man :|

 

Just to let you know, that, the Pinto, the 'Thing' and the Scout. The most beautiful vehicles ever :yes:

The sculptures did not do this coin justice. It could of been a real beauty, shame shame

 

Over the years I've owned both a Gremlin and a VW "Thing".
The Gremlin was a great little car that was surprisingly peppy with a V8 motor and very dependable.
The "Thing" was built off the same chassis that the Beetle was and it ran GREAT. Used it on the upstate weekend fishing trips I used to take. Very dependable and a lot of fun to drive.
I always found the Gremlin to be a cute car, not ugly by any means.
Beauty, after all, is in the eye of the beholder.

 

I remember seeing them when they first came out and thinking to myself "Who would buy such a hideously ugly car?".
Apparently no one until Pontiac finally sold them off at cost.
Clearly a car designed by a committee.

Ugliest Commemorative is the 1995 which seems to be a popular choice.
