Guess the grade. 1917 D SLQ. I think the strike is mediocre. Full rivets, etc. so let's hear your opinion on it.
:thumb:1st one of the best US Silver coin made!!! My guess would be MS-61->62 But Full head I not sure,I would need to have it in hand to tell you that.photo can hide thing like that.
In 4 different threads today, including this one, he has called the coin "au-53 details  " . I don't think he's basing his grading off of anything but the 'paste' button.
By pulling it out of a hat and pasting it into every grading thread today (as zach stated). Oh... he did move the "smiley" face on at least one thread, lol.
My opinion is that it's GREAT! Nice new purchase. I don't have one of these but I'm always rivited (no pun intended) when I see one... Thanks for showing it, NICE PICKUP! Best. -L
Thanks for all the responses. The coin graded AU 58 at PCGS. I am happy with the AU58, but I might try to send in to NGC in the hopes of MS.
The dark spot on the breast is the spot that would limit it IMO. Without it in hand that's all I can see. I see Hull posted that grade WHAT I WIN? ;P
Since it has full rivets, the emblem is almost full also, it has to be higher than 63++ or 64+. The rev eagles' wings edges are full too. I'm late but still feel it better than the 58.
