Yesterday, I purchased 5,000 wheats and 10,000 mixed cents, some in rolls, some in 2 litre Coke bottles, some in boxes and bags. I started with the mixed cents and came across a bunch of foreign coins (Bahama cents, Philippine cents, some older German pfennigs....).

Out of the mixed cents, I was pretty happy to find a lot of dimes including these four silver Canadian dimes:

I am with you, I love mixed lots. Even if its garbage like fake coins, or bulk modern world coins, its always great to get little extras in the deal. I have all kinds of oddball stuff acquired this way I would have normally never bought, like CW tokens, silver rounds, lots of large cents, etc.

I've had more luck with hoards than anything else. It's amazing what people toss into them.

Agreed. I'm still processing that 'We Buy Gold' hoard and deciding what to put in my collection vs. what to sell.

By chance, were any of the Philippine coins in this hoard from the US Administration period (1903-1946)?

Nope, just coppers. I personally collect the U.S. ones but so far none in this batch.
