How many use 2x2's with a "little larger" window than the coin requires?

Or do most use the specified 2x2 for each type of coin?

pumpkinpie what is this I don*t even

I use the specified sizes. Most times when the holder is too big the coin slides and rotates. Most commonly I see dimes in penny holders and nickels in quarter holders. It looks really bizarre when they put dimes in dollar holders.

i started out with one size 2by2's
Now i am cutting them all open again, to place each coin in the right 2by2

For coins like indian head penny's i use a slight bigger version because they are thicker then a normal penny, and i am afraid the "windows" of the 2by2's wil burst if i use the regular penny sized; (hope you understand what i am saying :p )

The whole thing is clear? No white cardboard around the window?

One size bigger is fine but not two to three. And if you must use a larger sized 2x2 staple it close to the clear part.

I wish there were an alternative to 2x2's. Does anyone know of any? I bought the clear Coin Holder which the 2x2's go in, but the coins will fall out without a piece of tape at the top.

The only holder I can think about is Saflips. But I'm not sure if they are safe and to tell the truth, I don't even know if the 2x2 cardboards are safe.

2x2's have been used for 50 years or something. They're fine.

There was a guy selling coins using saranwrap, lots of 1990's proof quarters if I remember right from a relative's estate. This was a year ago I found his auctions. For the love of Mike, don't follow in this guy's irresponsible example.

I use flips as well, but then again I take my coins out and handle them whenever I feel like. Gotta love that freedom of ancients. :)

Dollars go into Dollar sizes. Halves go into Half Sizes. Quarters and nickels in Quarter Sizes, and Cents and smaller go into Cent sizes.

The only coin(s) in my collection that are in a 2x2 larger than the coin are the Presidential and Sac dollars.

The quarter sized 2x2s are just a wee bit too small for those coins to fit into so I use the half dollar sized 2x2s instead.

I prefer to have the coin in a 2X2 that is slightly larger than the coin. The exception to this are half dollar sized coins. The large dollar sized holders are too large For coins around quarter size I find that SBA sized holders work great. In fact I probably use more SBA sized holders than any other.
