    "Little Known"

    I am very surprised by your comment that Chamberlain is "Little Know", of course I pass my a LE copy of Mort Kunstler's painting of Chamberlain's Charge every day!

    I also have the two coin set ($1 +50C) and a slabed NGC PF69 $1 Civil War coins.

    Nice painting. You should not be surprised though. They say over 50% of American's can't name the current vice president.

    Joshua Chamberlain was Dean of Bowdoin College for several years and was elected and served as Governor of the State of Maine as well.

    Read the book "Killers Angels". Excellent account of what went on during those dog days of July in 1863.......

    I agree, but the three book trilogy by Shaara is better read in order.
