I am pretty sure this coin is uncirculated. It only shows signs of any type of wear on the lions on the rev. I think that is cause by a weak die strike in that area. I want t o know what it is worth and the grade. My personal opinion is MS-61/62 and not sure about the value. The Krause I have is older. Can someone help? 1928 crown-1.JPG 1928 crown-2.JPG 1928 crown-3.JPG 1928 crown-4.JPG 1928 crown-5.JPG

IMHO it is worth in the $20 area, on eBay it might reach a bit above $20.

Details seem like UNC but these photos do not show luster. Latest Krause says $13 in XF and $37 in UNC.

Why would I do that? I just got it. I know I can get more than 10 bucks for it though. If I got it graded(IF), and it was in the range I think it is, I can get probably 25 to 30 bucks depending on the grade.JMo

It has a good luster. I can try to take a better pic of it and you could see the yellow toning on the top of the obverse.

Upto date UK book prices are

    UK Grading standards

    VF £8 = $12.60

    EF £18= $28.44

    UNC £ 35= $ 55.30

They are just a guide, I usually work on half the guide price.
