Jason, in your OP you said you have a three (3) year old son...I assume that means you're married. Have you shared your ideas with the wife? If I were you, I would listen very closely to my wife's opinions; we all need a little adult supervision in our lives. :)

During my life experiences, I always thought "With my talent, It's only a matter of time before I'm discovered."
Now that I can reflect, it really was
"With my talent it's only a matter of time before I'm found out."

"I do not trust him. I understand he has to make money, but he openly gloats about purchasing a morgan dollar for 7 dollars from somebody."

On the OP's comment here, that is absolutely par for the course, probably everyone on this board has seen or heard of rips 100X more egregious perpetrated by the most aggressive advertisers in Coin World, etc.. I heard of a case of a coin dealer recently who hit it big with a group of rare notes he was able to buy cheap, five or six figure payday. The guy ended up drinking himself to death.

Just an update; I'm still working. Since I cover all of eBay and not just coins, he let me bring 27 Hummel figurines home, some pre war. So I was able to do all of the work from my photo setup in the laundry room. This is much better for me because the pawnshop can be very distracting to work; tons of volume, and phones galore. I am beginning to understand the nature of the business. I guess he hired me when they were backed up on coins. Now that our coin supply is running low, I've been doing other items such as cameras, War Mems, pretty much anything small.

I really do not mind the boss, as much as I dislike the repeat drug using customers. It is very sad when someone comes into the shop, and you know they are only looking for a fix. I had an 18 year old kid that was loaded on pills bring his TI-83 Calculator in (I'm sure his parents spent good money on it). Now that is just too much reality sometimes. So we'll have to see. The main thing here was that something had to give. Last semester I was so proud to make it on the Dean's List. Now I'm waste deep in a few classes that really have me scratching my head. I plan on dropping 1 class, and re-adjusting my work schedule. Hopefully he will let me work more from home. Once he realizes that he can trust me, than I hope we can just document everything that comes in the shop, and I can take it all home.

I swear one of my buddies who stayed in the Army would slap me right now. I was in the Infantry, and remember many a ruck march of being on the verge of passing out. Just praying for my discharge date. Funny how good I have it now that I reflect. Anyway, TY for letting me rant. Appreciate it as always.

Yes thank you. I wish I could serve but medical reasons bar me. Thus I'm getting my history degree lol. I think that's why I love coins so much.
