ok now its been passed around the floor of the several chats do you think coin collecting would make a stabilizing portfolio investment for the future?why? now attached to this is a poll leave you comment and debate bellow
There's nothing "stabilized" about the coin market. It's a hobby. If it were more there would be a lot of rich coin geeks out there, including myself. Guy
i mean to by stablizing : an invesstment to get a decent return in the future , i & e if i buy a 55 ms 62 ddo at 2000 dollars and hold it for like 5 year and get a500 -1000 dollar return on my initial investment of 2 g
i would not reccomend investing in coins it is a hobby. use bullion as an investment, thats what its for. just my opinion. you can make money on coins but there is no gurantee you are going to make any profit.
i agree with you .. b ut also , i consider what coins to buy that would make it best for me...and profit is anything more or over what you initially paid for it..
"shrug" as my vote says, I just do it for fun. With that said, I don't let the "fun" factor keep me from making wise purchases. It's a balancing act between enjoyment and not over paying or letting your judgement be clouded.
Stable portfolio investment - no way. Yes you might make money if you do the selling when it is time, but your money would be better invested in something else. I am not in it for a profit - yes if I sell something I would like to make money, but not the goal. I am in it more for the fun of collecting.
