So, I went to a coin show to try to fill in some gaps in my MS Lincoln cent set. I'm currently working on the decades of 40s and 50s and here's what I found. (Note, I also found the steelies but I cannot photograph them for the life of me...too darn reflective! Any suggestions?)

1943 zinc CU cent rev 1.jpg 1943 zinc obv 1-27.jpg 1943 zinc CU obv 1.jpg 1943 zinc CU rev 2.jpg I think you see were the zinc is 2/3 of Obv has a Very thin coat of zinc.
Close up of Rev @ CEN you can see how the zinc is its just not 100% coated there more like over spray spots
    :)

Man, I can't wait to see the TrueView of this one. I have a feeling I know just what it's going to look like. I also think it looks much better than the assigned grade. It's a beauty and extremely hard to find with that great color.

Thanks Bob, this one really is pretty but not as nice as yours. It's coming your way here shortly so you'll see it in hand. I've hurt my back trying to image this one and I give up, it's impossible to get it right. Your so right about "hard to find" with great color as I've been looking for one like this one since the photo contest with your beauty about two years ago. Bob you should post your 1938 proof...... It's so pretty......Joe

Here are Joe's photos of my 1938 from a contest 2 years ago. Very comparable to his new purchase.

Here is a TrueView of the contest coin.

Hey Coindexter, any ideas why PCGS only put a PR62 on your colorful Lincoln? Just from the photos, it looks like a PR64 at least. In any case it's really pretty and you got a fantastic deal!!

Robec, that 1938 is the BOMB!
