I'm willing to bet that tube was an employee's of the bank. Some unknowing teller, used to getting rid of halves because they don't fit in her nice little drawer, gave them to you.

yeah I bet you would but I think I'm gunna hold onto these since I have more 40% than I do mercs. they're a little tough to find here.

I'd say "tough" and stop going to that branch.

Dude, I would say I sold them already, and it was their error to give them out. An error in money can't be recalled. I know I accidentally spent a silver cert and had the nerve to ask the store for it back and the cashier said she was gonna keep it. I didn't feel like arguing, so I let her keep it. An error should not be recalled unless it is potentially hazardous.

Box Number 2 was just about as good!!!!!!!!!

My second box from yesterday started slow but ended with a bang.
    The first 25 rolls had 2 x Frankie's and 1 x 1967
    Remaining 25 rolls contained....
    4 x Frankie's
    1 x 1945D WL
& another WL which was an Ender

I'm not sure if I'm going to open the roll or not. There is a good possibility there is more silver in that roll as there were two other rolls in the box with 2 silvers.
Should I open it or put it on ebay and try and make some money off it?

I would tell them sorry, got nothing for you. Odds are the person who cashed them in wanted them back after they realized what they were or something. Sucks for them.

that's a tough one. this auction just went yesterday. an unsearched franklin ender and it went for $55.

having said that, I would have a hard time not opening it.

Very tempting, I could use the money to get a better iphone so I could post better pics!
Also, it's sitting there in the cup holder of my car....just begging to be opened. I'll peel back the roll a little to check the date.

I can weigh it up tonight. 90%ers come in at 13 grams on the scale I have. 40%ers and clad come in at 11 grams if I remember correctly, it's not any more accurate than that though. I'll have to weigh a couple rolls of clad and see how many more grams this weighs in at. Any advise on how much a roll of clad SHOULD weigh?

You can tell on that roll in the auction that the roll was opened and the Ben stuck in there on the end and they tried to re-crimp the roll. Also did you notice the tape on the roll!!! What a poor job and a crap thing to do. It's worth $21.50 to me. $9.50 in clad halves and $12 for the Frankie. What a joke.

You just keep on taking a beating with those Quarters. You are dedicated....at least they are easy to dump.
