I feel I have paid my dues and being persistant/consistant is paying off. I have not had a score like this in months and the dimes have been treating me poorly. I've endured my 8 box skunk streaks to be broken by a single 40%er and then back at it for another 4-6 boxes of nothing. HOTN

I've never heard of that either, all 90% and a good number of them to boot. Nice box.

You are correct sir, I need a new cell phone, badly...lol. I'm going to pop soon on a new iphone. True story, my dogs love me and I left for a long period of time one day. They got mad at me and ate my cell phone. This is a back up Razor from 5 years ago, until my contract is up it is crazy money to upgrade. Just a couple more weeks I keep telling myself.

i nabbed a 1958 canadian quarter from the reject bin today, and i also spotted a silver dime in a plastic bwr that i swapped out. in for $.10 and back out for about $8.50, not bad!

 

My only VZW phone is a RAZR. Usually, if you call them and complain about it being on a couple weeks, they'll let you upgrade early.

 

Got my second best find for one day of dimes today out of $110 of CWR. Two rolls were solid mercs, though one roll may be short a few. Another roll and 15 or 16 roosies in it and some silver canadian dimes. will post pics and totals later.

2 boxes of halves, nothing. Boxes of halves look to be going the way of quarters around here.. all skunks with the occasional surprise.

 

It was a lucky find but I do wish I could find some halves like you found yesterday. This place here is dry on them.

 

Went through my rolls of coins that i has sitting in the back of my trunk for over two weeks
I found 3 war nickels 2 silver dimes 1964 and 1935 and box of halves just found 1 40%er
Glad to be back in the game

Huge finds are coming in left and right!

In the last few weeks, I've been through 9 boxes of halves. All skunks except one... the one box had:

2 Franklins (1 62 proof!)
12 '64 Kennedys (5 proofs!)
21 40%

Schwing!! I was VERY happy. But man... those other 8 boxes... what a lot of work! I still have a bucket-full to dump. The weirdest thing (for me) was seeing so many proofs. I've never pulled a proof from a BWR before. How strange is this?

 

Oh, I also went through two boxes of nickels:

1 Buff in decent shape (1937)
1 war nickel

 

That's a very peculiar, but awesome, box.

 

Finally found some time to post my finds from yesterday. Turns out the roll I thought was short wasn't, the one that made it look short had three extra dimes in it.



So my totals ended up being:

Found more Mercs yesterday than I did all of last year.

 

Still jealous. I'd trade a couple rolls of 40% I found for those mercs.

 

That is a crazy amount of dimes. I'm still looking for a score like that out of CWR dimes. Nice job!

Got a phone call this morning, the bank that I picked up that whole roll of fresh 1964 halves in a plastic tube a while back was holding it for another customer and wanted it back. I told them that I didnt have it any more, I could not believe that they are requesting coins that they gave me back after over three weeks ago. Its not like they gave me too much and I owned them extra. Im thinking about bringing back the cointube with just regular halves in it.

 

Offer to buy them a roll of halves to replace what you took. No reason to burn bridges.
