Just as the title says, I am just curious as to what it is, where its from, and if it is worth anything.
That's a cool find! I believe it is a Russian 40 rubles note. However, I don't know the value. I'm sure someone else here will, though!
It's a 40 Ruble note. I don't know where it was put out from, as I'm no expert, but aside from the 40 listed in numbers, COPOKb means forty in Russian, and it has Rubles written on it. Probably Russia, of course.
It is known.as a Kerensky note. It was issued by the Russian Provisional Government of Alexander. Kerensky. The Kerensky government took over after the ouster of the Czarist and prior to the Commmunists seizing power. They are common notes and go for a buck or two.
Russia 40 rubles It's a fairly common Russian treasury note. It was issued in 1917. Indeed, called a "Karensky" note for the reason listed above. Unfortunately, in UNC only worth about $2. For reference, it's Pick 39.
