First off...I just google the pic and the pic name was "Popcorn". Who's "Popcorn Sutton"? Edit: I've been reading about Popcorn Sutton...interesting! Secondly, I have fond memories of Jackson, MI. My Mother's family is from there and they had about 600 acres with (believe it or not) oil wells! We got a pretty nice check from Marathon until the late '70s when the oil dried up. I learned to drive a Volkswagon on my Uncle's property when I was five (5)...sitting on his lap. They had a dirt course where folks would race motorcycles on the weekends. I sure wish I could remember the motorcycles I saw there in the early '60s.
