Questions for the OP:

You say, "up for winning today" so does this contest end at midnight in some specific time zone, today? And so as long as we don't go over in our guesses, are we allowed to continue submitting guesses until we hit the correct number, or one close to it up to midnight? I ask this since I see no limits nor understand where you plan to call the time for guesses at an end as written in the rules which might restrict the number of guesses allowed per member, nor their frequency, save that we don't go over the correct amount of wheats you possess. It might speed up the contest if you allow multiple guesses per person or start eliminating who has gone over already and indicate a precise end time when you will announce a winner-- or clarify when today it ends. Otherwise this open ended style contest could take a long time while you wait for guesses to come in or hit the mark, Mark.

The way it read, to me, since you used "up for winning today", and because you didn't use a word like: by, "5 o clock tomorrow Eastern time" (tomorrow added in the latest posts not the in the OP, nor do you specify AM or PM) it wasn't immediately clear that "5" was the end time of the contest... So what about the number of times and or frequency of guesses each person can make? I asked about that too.

i asked the bank to set aside a box of pennies for me tomorrow, they are open til 12, i need to run to my other bank first, then pick up the cents, then go ride my quad in the snow with my friend. so lets hope that will all get done by 12
