AU 55 with a possible cleaning. Thats my guess.

My guess is "EF-45 details", but looks like it was harshly cleaned at some point in its life.

Im thinking the bottom on the reverse is a weak strike and not wear. Just thought I would mention that.

    Agreed!

I focused more on the Obverse. The High points of the hair (brow, bun, & over the ear) and the right wheat stalk appear as wear to me...as do the leaf edges and cotton balls on the upper portion of the reverse. I still see luster near the rim, but the fields in the center of the coin (Obv & Rev) appear suspect. I'll stick by my "guess"...(from pictures, that's all it is).

What is evident that it's been cleaned?

Mostly, that I can see, all of the scratches on the obverse, especially in the fields.

That...and the color. It's not a "done deal" the it's been cleaned...just that it appears that way in the pictures. It appears as though some scratches go from the field across the "V" on the Reverse. Those could also be slab scratches if it's in a slab.

55, and I think many are confusing weak strike with wear.

The scratches look too random to my eye to be evidence of cleaning.

Agreed, the stars on the obverse show clearly how weak the strike is.
