I think I would just let it go at this point. Ultimately, he is getting his coins. There was just a little rough patch in between.

Fraud? C'mon. How is it fraud if he is getting the coins he ordered? He may not have been treated right by the guy on the phone, but it far from fraud. And if you contacted the FBI about this, they would laugh at you.

If you think fraud was involved, you need to go back and re-read the posts, because you are badly mistaken.

Just a word before this gets closed. I'm sorry this happened to you vdbpenny1995. You will learn as you get older, better ways to communicate with companies, and that sometimes no matter how good you are at communicating, that you may not be able to make any headway. Sorry you had a bad experience. (I say that because that is how vdbpenny1995 is communicating this). That being said, I am glad that ModernCoinMart posted their reply. It still seems there is a gap in the experience each side believes "happened", so hopefully you get your coins and can put this up to a learning experience. Believe me, you will have a number of learning experiences. From the business side, I've never done business with MCM, but from the reply, I think that MCM should be a little bit more lenient if they are finding they are dealing with a young person, as opposed to someone who has done a lot of business with a company. I think it's ok to present your side of the story and all, but the comment about this person needing "
as this one matures he will learn not to jump down an honest businesses throat and make damaging remarks." seems to be more a veiled threat that was not needed here. Why not just say that from your standpoint you are an honest business? Part of freedom of expression and all in our country should be the ability to put up things (opinions of service) that are both pro and con. By this standpoint, I am taking away that this company believes that any comment that doesn't sing their praises should be shot down and threatened. Not right in my opinion. As far as the OP was concerned, this was the worst company. He should be allowed to say so. As were the other posters who had done business with the company were allowed to say they weren't calling the OP a liar, but their experience was different.

I work customer service for a major online jeweler and that customer service response was one of the worst I have ever seen. Never, ever ever ever, do you speak about a customer like that, even if they are wrong. I wasn't there so I don't know the story but if that is how a company responds to a complaint.. how in the world are they in business???? I get 10+ people a day yelling at me online and on the phone. If I put them in their place like that, I'd feel like such an idiot.. seriously, horribad customer service.

I have never ordered from MCM so I won't take sides. But don't companies record calls from customer service reps? If MCM really wanted to see what was going on they would go into their records and see exactly what happened. I have dealt with customer service before in my previous job. And from what I have learned is that they can't speak badly to a customer no matter how the customer reacts. If they do it it usually leads to disciplinary actions.
If this was a really bad experience just don't order from them again in the future.

You don't need to file complaints. Some companies check the recordings on a daily basis. Some keep them around and check them when they do evaluations.

I also appreciate you posting here Mr. Salzberg. While I believe that posters here should calm down about "filing charges" and such silly things, as no laws were broken at all, but I also believe it does not help your case to talk about how you accepted a loss to fulfill the order. Fact was you took the order, but was out of stock. The fact you needed to replenish stock, therefor delaying his order, was an inconvenience to him, and it was simply your firms error for selling product you did not have. I have done it, all firms have, we try to make it up to customers the best we can and move on. I just don't think it helps justify any customer action.

Just my opinion sir, though I am unsure if you will ever read it. I know these things can become flame wars that of course you have no interest in. and start too easily. Again we all appreciate hearing your side of the story, and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Grow up.

IF you have trouble reading the response from Moderncoinmart, go back to post #14 and re-read it.

VDB is getting his coins, and some of which are costing MCM more than they charged VDB for in the first place, and have an upgraded label than what he ordered to begin with.

No is making you look like a bad customer, except you.

I think you should take any further exchanges between you and MCM, to private messaging and end this public, and unjustified IMHO, bashing.

And as a customer service agent, you should know there is ALWAYS two sides to every story.

You, too, need to go back and re-read post #14.
