Got this coin in an old flip that reads "Ptolemy V Egypt". Could I have some help with further attribution? it is about 17mm and 2.9g. Thank you!
Currently attributed as: Ptolemy III-Ptolemy VIII. Kyrenaika mint. The Ptolemaic bronze series if very difficult to understand. A new book on the series is due to be coming out in the next few years, and that will certainly overhaul the majority of attributions. This website is the most up-to-date resource: http://www.megagem.com/ancient/ptolemy_series.html
Some more info: Head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis / Head of Libya right; [cornucopia below chin]. Svoronos 873; SNG ANS 449
