Scanning for Franklins, and ran into this from one of my favorite toned sellers. What is up with the slab?

No, probably not considered an error. Just coin was not put in obverse to the front of the slab.

Someone requested it to be slabed that way.

Both Pcgs and Ngc will put coins in the slab backwards if the reverse has exceptional toning, Deep mirror fields, that sort of thing. I did not know as Idhair posted above that this could be requested, but have seen it numerous times.

Thank You. I have picked up a lot of coins from this guy and my main fear was that it was a fake slab. Had no idea they would allow the R on the O side upon request.

    BINGO!

If the coin has colorful toning on the reverse you CAN request it be slabbed with the Reverse to the label side of the slab.

ooops. Looks like Im a little late.

Sometimes, they will slab it "Reverse Up" even when it is not requested because it makes sense........

Ok, someone please, please tell me "slabs errors" are not the new "coin collecting" fad.

    Either that:

Or this cat gets it. :(
