Here’s an 1863 token for the Army & Navy. The obverse had Lady Liberty surrounded by 13 stars for the original colonies. The reverse has a wreath with the Army and Navy centered. At the base is a pair of crossed swords.

It’s in great condition with a few signs of Mint red and luster when held in your hand.

Some years that’s a great game; others not so much.

Very nice. May be a dumb question… when you say mint red, if the red severely shows on a, say a quarter and red coming through, does that make a difference of buying any coin?

I've seen a few of these over the years, but none as nice as this one.

Red on a clad quarter (1965 or newer) is discoloring from exposure to chemicals or buried in the ground. If you have a picture of such a coin please post it for examination

Brand new, shiny copper coins are usually described as "red". As they age, they turn brown. So red, in the case of a copper coin like this one, is desirable.

Do you mind if I post that quarter? With the red? Heavy metal asked to post. Just want to make sure it’s ok to.

It can but mint red will only show on a copper coin.
