JP's does not offer 1st class mail, and IDK why a lot of suppliers don't. I'm not gonna spend $5 to have a small 30 cent item mailed.
any local shops near you, they usually have supplies edit: also buy in bulk with someone online who does flat shipping, it doesn't make sense to order a 30 cent item and pay $5 shipping, buy $50+ worth of supplies and only pay $5 in shipping
i prefer to buy mine from the local coin shop that i go to work near, he may sell his airtites a little over priced ( $1.00 ) not too bad but i get pretty good deals on a lot of stuff since we will give him free food from our restaurant every now and then. his 2x2's he gives those to me in sheets for free so i dont know what his price is on those, never bought any lol.
I have found many supplies at good prices on Amazon.com. 25$ is free shipping if you can structure your order right. Plus there is a CoinTalk-to-Amazon sticky somewhere that gives some cred back to CoinTalk so it's a win/win Good luck!
Great price, they are $4 here. Most of the other stuff I have to get online because the closet place that sells the other stuff is 85 miles round trip, gas would outweigh the shipping costs. Whoever sells them here needs fairer pricing. $4.00 for 100 2x2s, or $1.25 for only 10. If you only need few, that's kinda BS to charge that much. 75 cents would be plenty.
Just compare your retail store to costco. You gotta make your profit somewhere, and usually people buy in bulk. I'd gladly pay $4 for 100 rather than $1.25 for ten but that's all marketing. They set the price and we can't do nothing about it.
Also wanted to point out. I ordered a bunch of 2x2 cardboard flips online. I don't want to give the store a bad rap so I won't disclose the name. But the flips were low quality and poorly made. So be careful just because it's cheap doesn't mean they're good.
https://www.amosadvantage.com/scottonline/productgroup.asp?find%5Fcategory=CNM&category=CNM&part%5Fno=&Tab=coin if your subscribed to coinworld magazine you can order these for the aa price i can buy 25 of any size for 1.00 at my local shop, those prices are really high...
That is why you buy online and in bulk. I am not sure of the local price, since I can get airtites cheaper on JP's corner. Now if I buy "enough" locally sometimes they just through in some supplies(like 1 or 2 2x2's, or little envelops). But If you are using 2x2's - you can never have too many. If you buy enough you cover the shipping costs and still save money over the local costs. I am not faulting the local shops prices - they do have overhead they have to cover. I know their airtites are singles in boxes - so that is additional costs, where as I get them cheaper off JP's corner(half the price).
http://www.mintproducts.com/2x2-staple-type-holders.html these are 2.69, never ordered from here before so i cant vouch for them yet though cody
The cheaper ones I bought first had thin chipboards, loose mylars and it just felt cheap when you held it in hand.
If you cannot afford to make a bulk order, see if someone at the local coin club or a buddy to split an order with you. Best long term way to buy them.
I got 2x2 sa-flips and a pair of gloves from wizard. Fast service and great price. I'll shop there again.
