So id I purchase a roll of 20 coins, are they opened by who ever I purchase them from or are they sealed? Also maybe some hints for a reputable seller and the best price, Thanks Jim

If you deal with a large bullion dealer like APMEX, it would be unlikely that the tubes would have been opened by them, since they buy large boxes of rolls from the US Mint. But even supposing the rolls were opened, what's the difference?

    Welcome to the neighborhood, Jim.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but originally, the uncirculated SAE's could only be bought from the Mint by certain dealers. They came in what was called "Green Monster" boxes which contained 50 tubes with 20 of the SAE's in each tube. Naturally, most dealers would submit these for grading and only those that would grade MS69 or MS70 would be slabbed. The rest were returned to the dealers for them to sell any way they could. So, yes, all of these that were returned to the dealers have been searched in one way or another.

There are any number of precious metals dealers that you can find online, APMEX being one of them.
