    Weren't those type of put together sets usually done with circulated coins that were all shined up pretty for the party?

    Yes, a lot of times they were. If the pictures were better, we could tell. Looks like one is a racketeering nickel. Who knows.

    Also it could be a fake racketeer nickel. A genuine one would usually have most of the gold plating worn off and carefully made reeded edges. I would stay away from that if I were you.

    Nor on the following in the listing:

    I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT COIN COLLECTING BUT I KNOW THESE HAVE NOT BEEN CIRCULATED THEY ARE IN A PLASTIC CASE.

    that would be kindof like saying, I know they are rare because it says so on the holder.

    I don't even collect V's and I can tell they're not uncirculated. Probably cleaned.
