mean eagle the Walker is my favorite also. and it has the meanest looking eagle on the reverse, much better than the generic eagle on the ASE.
Morgan's or Walkers are my favorite. Although a beautiful coin, I am not a gigantic fan of the peace dollars.
SLQs, Morgans, Barber Halves. I also really like Peace Dollars. I think they are an under-appreciated series. I believe this is in part because they are tougher to grade than many other US coins, say for example Morgans. It's also tougher to find nicely toned examples. But I think blast white BU Peace Dollars are great looking coins. Here are a couple from my AU/BU set.
I'd have to say in this order, Walking Liberty Half, Standing Liberty Quarters, V Nickels and then anything Barber, dimes, quarters and halves. But what do I have most of, Morgans and American Silver Eagles
Race. I was attracted to that awesome Peace that you have in your Dansco. The newer brown danscos are a piece of art in themselves. Very nice. I would love to see more pictures.
I don't have a favorite series. I collect them all, some more than others for various reasons, but no clear favorite. What I like about the Peace dollar....I think it's the most beautiful representation of Liberty on any US coin....yes, even more than the St Gaudins $20 Liberty. I suppose if she were walking down the street with all the other Liberty gals, she's the only one I'd give a second glance. On second thought, I might look at the draped bust Liberty too! Guy
The peace dollar is the series I currently collect, I like how they can look in blast white or deeper fields, but they tend to have weak strikes, bad marks or dull coloring.
Jason, I assume that you're referring to the "V" in "TRVST". That is typically how the "U" is displayed in the Latin of ancient Rome. Chris
